Ricardo Hidalgo
Teacher of Truth, which cannot be taught. It can only be seen or experienced and is, in fact, all we ever do experience, but we overlook it by getting lost in what we imagine. I point past what is imagined to the Truth from where all experience (thoughts, images, sensations and perceptions) comes. Specialities: Cultural diversity; youth; depression and anxiety.

Peter Challen
Born in London in 1931, I spent my early childhood years in Western Australia before returning to London in 1938, just as war broke out. I attended Chigwell School in Essex and subsequently fulfilled my National Army Service, which sparked a curiosity that led me to explore employment in the steel and coal industries. This curiosity brought me under the mentorship of Rev. Dr. JAT Robinson, which paved the way for my education at Clare College, Cambridge, where I earned my MA.
My theological journey continued at Westcott House Theological College and later William Temple College, focusing on chaplaincy. I was ordained in 1958, began my curacy in Goole, West Yorkshire, and served as Rector of Holy Trinity, Dalton, Rotherham. In 1967, I became the Senior Chaplain for the South London Industrial Mission, leading efforts to make chaplaincy ecumenical while serving as Rector of Christ Church, Southwark, up to 1996.
I continued my chaplaincy work in central London until 2016, eventually moving to a supported housing community in Surrey, where I engaged in online outreach and mentoring. I hold the titles of Canon Emeritus of Southwark Diocese, Sloan Fellow of London Business School, and Free Citizen of the Borough of Suffolk. My journey reflects a commitment to ecumenical chaplaincy, global outreach, and fostering faith amid societal challenges.
I have authored several works, including unpublished reflections and books: ‘Personal Aspirations and Positional Arrogance’ unpublished reflections on the Sloan Senior Management Programme - 1970 - student of the year, tho' bottom of the skill table!!‘I dreamt of Magnanimity’ – a cathedral for the Nation - a Sophia Hub - 15 contributors. ‘Windows on the World of Work’ was edited during the 1980s. ’The Voice of Listening’ in 2023, pseudonym of GARFOSS. ‘Furthering Faith in a Failing Society’ in 2024 GARFOSS. ‘An Atlas of Incarnation’ 2025 is presently under editorial processing - consisting of some 50 verbal images from a wide range of thought, all tending towards the universal family.
