The Six Themes Of Weekend Workshop
This workshop is in six 90-minute sessions that explore in detail the following six qualities of natural aliveness over the course of a weekend.
1. Understand and recognising our true nature: We are the ever-present, never-changing, naturally alive and aware, undefinable something not ‘no-thing’ reality that is the source of all that appears to our minds, that reveals the false nature of any limited identification of a fragmented self. Being this is not a matter of practicing anything but simply understanding and resting as this.
2. Welcome all that appears with indifference: Resting as this aware reality we automatically welcome all appearances of thought and bodily and worldly sensations with indifference, dropping the defensive psychology of the mind which resists with prejudice experiences.
3. Apperceive all as one: As we welcome all appearances we appercieve them to be the same open undefinable reality we are, not separate, making us always complete and whole as we are, and shifting our perspective to see the whole Universe as our inner body that flows according to principles of balance.
4. Be this: Recognising our true nature and experiencing the indestructible safe wholeness and life-affirming natural aliveness of this we simply rest as this in surrender to it.
5. Dissolve separation: Acknowledging that through force of habit we still have the residual tendency to re identify with our mind and body as a fragmented self we can meet these moment with insight and clarity to dissolve this embodied belief as it appears in thoughts and bodily sensations and the defensive behaviours that arise from it.
6. Shine the authentic expression of naturally being this: Feeling indestructibly safe and whole, we recognise and experience everything to be the flow of an indivisible conscious reality, all activities are experienced as expressions of this not as activities of a fragmented self. Now free of destructive contracting fearful thinking of a fragmented self, we can naturally ‘shine’ the richness of the life-affirming aliveness of our true nature in all we do, courageously expressing thoughts, words, and deeds, free of attachment to outcomes, with care and creativity.
Exploring these six qualities we will focus of the points described in the following curriculum diagram.
